For the Indian audience, the Splendor has always been the number one commuter motorcycle. So, we can imagine that Hero would want to keep the Splendor relevant in 2025 by adding the typical mileage to digital-age gadgets to lure the instinctive tech-savvy mileage buyers.
Hero Splendor Plus XTEC 2.0 Safety & Features
The safety systems have also somewhat improved. If the side stand is engaged, the XTEC 2.0 cuts off the engine, providing significant safety, especially for novice riders.
Engine of Hero Splendor Plus XTEC 2.0
The Splendor Plus XTEC 2.0 has remained true to the tried and tested 97.2-cc air-cooled single-cylinder unit that produces about 8.02 PS power at 8000 rpm and 8.05 Nm of torque at 6000 rpm. The same unit is now made BS6 Phase 2 (OBD2) compliant, so it now produces a cleaner emission profile, thereby improving fuel mapping.

Hero has made some minor tweaks to the engine to allow for smoother delivery and cold starts. Four-speed transmission takes care of power delivery, which mostly spreads the bigger torque down low with the least vibrations-saying that the bike is most suited for city riding.
Mileage of Hero Splendor Plus XTEC 2.0
One of the biggest selling points of the Splendor has remained intact-fuel economy is merely fantastic. The XTEC 2.0 would deliver a big mileage figure of about 70-75 km per litre, earning itself the sobriquet of one of the most fuel-efficient motorcycles in its class. Its 9.8-litre fuel tank would help the vehicle cover some distance on a full tank-a great boon for daily commuters.
Price of Hero Splendor Plus XTEC 2.0
The Hero Splendor Plus XTEC 2.0 stands at Rs 79,900 (ex-showroom, Delhi). It needs to be positioned with some premium against the age-old bare entry-level model, with the extra glitz and better looks.
