The Alto 800 family will get a new member before 2025, ironically in the entry-level hatchback segment. Just recently things are changing in a monstrous way in design and features-a test mule, fully wrapped in camouflage was spotted in India for the new Alto 800 of generation 2025. Being the most economical, fuel-efficient mode of transport in India, this new Alto 800 is all set to absorb a greater market share for Maruti in the budget car segment.
Maruti Alto 800 Engine
The 0.8 litre 3-cylinder engine, churning out approx 47 bhp and 69 Nm torque, has always been the power unit of the Alto 800. A 5-speed manual transmission will come standard, with an AMT kit available as an option so as to be more attractive to city drivers. Possibly even from day one, a CNG variant may be employed to lure the commuters toward a cheap daily motive.
By implementing either their Smart Hybrid technology or the weight-saving Heartect platform, the 2025 Alto 800 could really see mileage numbers ranging in the 23–25 km/l for petrol, and 32+ km/kg for CNG marks.
Maruti Alto 800 Mileage
The new Alto 800 will almost certainly carry the same 796 cc petrol engine fitted with 47 bhp of power and 69 Nm of torque. Coupled with this will be a 5-speed manual gearbox, while AMT could also come as an option in favor of city driving. Another variant, factory fitted with CNG, shall be an equally good choice in addition to petrol.
The mileage figures should of course have a clean reputation ranging between 23 and 25 km/ltr for petrol and 32 plus km/kg for CNG.
Price Of Maruti Alto 800
It is expected that Maruti Suzuki would therefore unveil the 2025 Alto 800 at least by the first quarter of 2025, which would then be available for employees. The car will hit the market with a price band ranging from ₹3.99 lakhs (ex-showroom) for the entry petrol variant to ₹5.2 lakhs for the top sort of CNG.
